There are no symbols printed on the dishes and it is not entirely clear what material it is made of? Then a trick will help you find out whether the dishes in question are suitable for the microwave.

You need a container that is definitely microwave safe and fill it with 250 ml of cold water. Then put it together with the dishes to be tested in the microwave and let it run on the lowest setting for a minute. If the dishes feel warm afterwards, they are not suitable for the microwave.

Important note: You should never carry out this test for longer than a minute, otherwise both the dishes and the device could be damaged.

What about other materials?

Leftovers from the day before are often stored in plastic boxes or covered with foil. The ready meals in the bag or bowl would also be more convenient to prepare in the microwave. But be careful:
